D.D. Sonara has more than 40 years of experience in Training and Human Resources (HR). He completed his Post Graduate studies in Human Resource Development (HRD). He has been associated with reputed large organizations including L&T Ltd., Essar Steel Ltd., Tecnimont ICB Pvt. Ltd. (Shell Group), and JB Diamonds. He has served various roles across organizations including ‘Head - Human Resources’ as well as ‘Management Representative (MR) for ISO 9001’.

He is a well known motivational speaker and has also conducted training programs on 'world-class HR practices' (for HR professionals), 'work-life balance' (for employees), and 'success in married life' (for employees long with spouse). His rich and vast experience in the field of Human Resources enables him to integrate best strategies with seamless execution. He is a proven expert in successful professionalization of family owned businesses. He is also an expert in ISO 9001 and Best Practice Principles (BPP) implementation which makes him a much sought-after consultant in family owned organisations.

He is a war veteran and participated in the India-Pakistan war (1971) as part of the Indian Air Force. He is also associated as Vice President of Prayosha Pratishthan - an NGO working for the upliftment and empowerment of Tribals in the forests of Dang District (Gujarat State).
